## What's my form of ADHD?

You know, I'm not entirely sure. But what I do know is that unless it's a personal project that's usually tech-related, or some form of relation to my hobbies, I have nearly zero interest in dealing with things. You know... life. But the moment you trigger one of my Special Interests™, I could go on for a while on the subject. But then the moment I see someone's eyes glaze over, I usually pull back.

Which is unfortunate, because sometimes, it's great to be able to discuss things and have Ideas™ come out. This is why I have 500+ unfinished projects. But when I lock in, I **really** lock in. For example, there was a homelab project involving single-sign-on integration. It took a solid couple weeks of focus in-between work shifts at $night job before I had something that worked the way I wanted it to.

## How are you dealing with it?

Uhhhhhh you mean there is dealing with it??? I've been trying to get an official diagnosis for it but well... let's just say it's not going well. Mental healthcare support is garbage in the US. Even with Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance.

## What do?

Fuck if I know, but whenever I can, I try to get into that zone. More often than not though, I find it harder and harder to get into that zone because I'm still treading with my head just above the water. I... honestly don't know what to say, other than, "I'm trying, man."... and I'm exhausted most nights, as a night shift worker. I've been mostly dealing with this in the form of abusing caffeine as a poor man's ritalin. It **works**... but I don't like the crash thereafter.

I don't really know what to do, other than to persist.
